TITLE:                   High School History Teacher

 

REPORTS TO:         Principal

 

SUPERVISES:          N/A

                                                                       

TERM:                     10 months

 

JOB GOAL:               Work with students to help them learn concepts in history

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING:

 

EVALUATION:       Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with

provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.

 

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

  1. Provide an instructional program that is differentiated.
  2. Commitment to high student achievement & support for all students.
  3. Knowledge of the subject matter being taught.
  4. Ability to exercise various teaching strategies to increase students’ critical thinking skills
  5. Create a secure classroom climate.
  6. Analyze data and adjust your lessons accordingly.
  7. Plan, develop, implement, and monitor with student success as your goal.
  8. Use available technology in your lessons.
  9. Communicate effectively with parents and students.
  10. Assist with others duties as assigned by the Principal
