Job Title: Classroom Teacher

Reports To: Principal

 

Term: 10 months

 

Job Overview:
This is a pool posting for 1^st and 2^nd grade opportunities for the (2026-2027) school year within Haywood County Schools. By applying to this posting, you express interest in being considered for current and future openings as they become available. District needs, positions may be full-time, part-time, or temporary.

JOB GOAL: Work with students to help them learn concepts in science, mathematics, language arts, and social studies. Assist students in applying concepts they have learned.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Hold appropriate Tennessee certification license.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Effective decision-making and verbal and written communication skills.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:   

1. Provide an instructional program that is differentiated.
2. Create a secure classroom climate.
3. Analyze data and adjust your lessons accordingly.
4. Plan, develop, implement, and monitor student success as your goal.
5. Use available technology in your lessons.
6. Communicate effectively with parents and students.
7. Assist with other duties as assigned by the Principal.
